Unhappy No firewire support?

Well, I installed TI 9 2323 upgrade and lo and behold, I can no longer backup to my external firewire drive. I cannot perform an incremental (I made a complete backup with an earlier version of TI 9) or create another complete backup. I get the following error:

E00640067: Failed to run the task script. The system cannot find the file specified.

I consider myself more than a casual user and have gone through all of the usual checking that might cause this error to occur. TI 9 2323 can read the firewire drive but cannot write to it? I can see the previous complete backup on the drive through the TI interface. What gives.....?

Well, the silence is truly deafening. TI 9 has been uninstalled...waiting for a more stable product.

Default Re: No firewire support?

Hello RocketRod,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please clarify whether you try to create an image in Windows or in rescue mode?

Could you please install the program once again and download the latest version of Acronis drivers, install it with disabled logging and see if the problem still persists.

If the problem still persists then enable logging by running the Acronis drivers installation package once again, reproduce the problem and collect the c:\snapapi.log file.

If you get the error message within Windows, please try to create an image in rescue mode.

Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please create an account, then log in and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

Thank you.
