Default Which drive encryption software?

I am looking at installing drive encryption software on my laptop. I've been looking at Free CompuSec and Comodo Disk Encryption. Has anyone used either or both of these programs? How do they compare as to security, ease of use? I've never used this type of software before so I am looking for something safe, secure and reliable with a solid track record. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

No particular reason, it looks more complicated, but I'm always cautious with new software. Will full disk encryption interfere with an auto-loaded Returnil partition or a "virtual" file for VMplayer? Thanks.

It would be hard for something to be easier than Truecrypt.

Any idea when Truecrypt will support Windows 7? For that matter, is there any disk encryption package supporting Windows 7 yet?

Well, let's not forget Bitlocker. There are also pure hardware-based solutions, of course. Guess we'll have to wait for the rest to catch up.

TrueCrypt does support Windows 7... it just cannot handle the one small system partition written by the OS upon installing, but you can get around that.

Regarding getting around the small system partition, is there a thread here, or a FAQ somewhere, about this? Thanks!

Essentially, you need to disable the 100 MB boot partition of W7 during the installation...

There are *many* threads on this issue in the TC forums.

I don't want to forget it, but since I don't plan to buy "Ultimate" it won't be available to me :-)
