Default Problem: ESET Smart Security Popups Steal Focus!

When ESET Smart Security displays an update popup or alert popup, the update or alert window STEALS FOCUS in Windows 7. This should be a MAJOR NO-NO for any application. Has this issue been addressed? I forwarded the issue to ESET's development, but I've heard nothing back and the annoying problem continues to persist.

Anyone know what to do about this? It's highly annoying.

i experienced this same thing. its extremely annoying when you are either typing or doing something important like running my dj software during an event...

This is one of the main reasons i elected to remove eset it would stop my lighting controller and or dj software during events which caused alot of problems...

Have you tried enabling "Gamer Mode"? As the article below states:

Quote:
While in Gamer mode, your ESET security product will suppress pop-ups and scheduled ESET security tasks so that gaming or important presentations go uninterrupted.

How do I enable/disable Gamer mode in my Windows ESET security product? (5.x)

Which is ok if using something Fullscreen like games or Apps
But it also will steal focus when you are typing your input to forums like this one should it update virus signatures at the same time , this is using Win XP

Then this would be the KB Article you want:

How do I disable the pop-up notifications about virus signature updates, scheduled scan activity, etc.? (5.x)

Developers have confirmed that was fixed in v6 in the mean time.
