No my CTM error was different. Both 2.8 and 2.9 had problems.

Let's see how 3.0 will go, when it comes out, probably in December 2012 or early 2013.

I had exactly the same experience. From then on even hearing the name ctm gives shivers in my spine.

2.8 and 2.9 simply don't work, so I will try 3.0 when it's released in 6-10 months.
