Default Searching Backup Files

I've been using True Image Echo Workstation (Build 8206) to backup my system for some time now. Does anyone know if there is a utility I can use to search through the archives I've been creating? For example, show me all the Word docs with the following pattern , "Proposal*.docx"

Thanks,
Scott

That's a great idea for a utility to acompany True Image, but I don't know of any program that does that.

All I can think of is to mount each archive and then use the Windows Search on the virtual drive to find what you want.

ScottW,

ATI 2009 searches through the archives using patterns just like you want.

A windows search with Explorerer will actually include a search of tib archives. Some find this a pain, actually as it greatly prolongs searches.

Is TI Home 2009 a newer product than TI Echo Workstation?
Can Home 2009 open / search archives from Echo?
Can anyone say if/when Echo will be updated with this functionality?

Hello ScottW,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image

Acronis guarantees one-version-back compatibility for different versions of the same product. This means that current product version will work with backups created with one-generation-older version. So it means that backup archives created with Home version will not be compatible with Corporate version and vice versa.

Acronis True Image Home 2009 is newer in comparison with Acronis True Image Echo Workstation.

Regarding the possibility to search files in a backup archive by extensions I have added this inquiry to customer listening system. It should appear in future version of the program.

Best regards,
