Default empty archives folder

I am using 4 snapshots and have 4 archives located in a folder on an external HD.
I was constantly updating (manually) the archives.
Today I found out that the folder is empty, but the "free space" on the HD
shows that the content of the archives are inside, but where?

III. Known Limitations
===================================================================
1. No support for NTFS Dynamic Disks
2. No support for Windows 95/98/Me/NT
3. No support for FAT16/FAT32
4. Registry cleaners such as System Mechanic should not be used to
delete registry keys associated with FirstDefense-ISR.
5. No support for software disk encryption.

If any of the above apply to your external disk then you'd have a problem.
