Default ML and v10.0 - not seeing NTFS disk

This worked well in Lion, but since the ML upgrade I am having no luck. I have an activated copy of v10.0, but it doesnt seem to work.
ML can see it - but it is read only.
Paragon cant see it in the settings app and obviously I cant write to it.
I have tried uninstall, reboot and reinstall. No luck
What else do people suggest?

Please clarify the issue you are having, if you install NTFS for Mac and the disk isn't being seen correctly then please go into the disk utility within the software and verify then repair the disk, if you aren't able to verify then attempt to repair the disk, which should then mount the drive automatically allowing you to read/write to the destination. By default macs can only read in NTFS, just as an fyi.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for responding. Yes I know about the read only by default for Mac. That what I was thinking, the NTFS driver is not properly installed....so is using the default one instead.
So I go to disk utility, but the option to verify or repair are greyed out. So I cant try that.
The disk mounts ok - but is read only.
I just tried it in my windows machine and the disc is behaving weirdly there also. I think something is suspect in this drive or controller.
