For the last 24 hours I am finding that to get into the site and loading web pages within the site very slow to load.
Typically 30s to load the main Window and about 10-20s to switch between pages. This is the ONLY site that is showing this behaviour. Seen this slow loading in early morning and throughout the day. Any ideas? |

Thank you for posting that as I have the exact same experience here in Germany. So I am not alone! Feels like many years back having just a 1200 baud modem or something terrible like that. ![]() |

Those stats are related to the server backend, which is so under utilized that it's ridiculous. (We have way more capacity, server-wise, then we need for this operation. So much memory that the entire database, code base, and image attachments, all fit into memory cache. We almost never read from disk. And for CPU, we've got multiple, multi-core CPUs which average 2-3% utilization. UNIX load is almost always in the ranges from your images, which is next to nothing in utilization.)
Unfortunately, that isn't where the problem is located. It's network route issues - long pings and packet loss on "some" network routes. Those people on a bad route can see horrible page completion times... parts of pages appear, other "objects" are pending... nothing loading for a long time, and maybe 20-40 seconds later, they finally finish coming down. While those a good routes have nearly instant page load times. I'll see what I can do... meaning I'll report it and see what they (the hosting company) can do. ![]() |

Oh, one small possible thing to try in case the route issues are only effecting TCP port 80 traffic... those of you having the issue, try switching to the SSL port instead. Meaning, use https: instead of http: at the start of the site URLs. (We're using a self-signed certificate here, so, you'll need to allow for that.) I had a couple people say the https access actually made the site perform better for them network-wise, over normal http. Anyway, it's worth a try while we're waiting to find out what's what.

Of all the sites on the web, Wilders for me has been the most reliable year after year, always quick to load.
