Default ESET Firewall & MYOB accounting software nightmare

Hi all,

I hope someone can help me, having absolute nightmares with the above 2 programs on my network, I have nod32 firewall on 3 computers in my office that use MYOB accessing a datafile on 1 system. (MYOB is a business accounting software similar to quicken)

The problem that occurs is myob continously cuts out on the remote machines reporting "myob cant access datafile and must close" or "cant send message to above user" ect.. it'll works fine for x ammount of time but eventually cuts out (it works 100% fine with eset firewall disabled) I believe the program needs uninterupted network access as it has a poorly designed network datafile management system.

I have gone through eset firewall and allowed everything to do with myob including the port range used for it, but yet the problem still occurs

Does anyone know how to sort this issue out? Is there something i have missed?

Help is much appreciated

Cheers

its a known problem because ESS will drop inactive connection.
ESS 4 has new option "Maintain inactive TCP connection" that should solve this problem but its still in beta now
