I have been wanting to run a 64 bit browser for years but only just now are we having anyone begin to step up and support them. And support is still lacking. Unfortunately we will not realize the full potential of 64 bit for some time to come.

This is very true & I had a similar dilemma to the OP about a year ago when I bought my desktop. Everyone seemed to think 64 bit was the immediate future. So I went with 64 bit Win 7. I don't regret it, but it's only comparatively recently that I have been able to browse in 64 bit, firstly with IE 9 & in the past week with Waterfox. MSE 64 bit is so light & fast it's almost like having no AV & PDF-XC (PDF reader) works very well in 64 bit. It's going to be a while before 64 bit realises its full potential, but I do believe it's the future.
