For some reason, when you go to enable Advanced heuristics on File Execution, it wont stay enabled.
Steps to reproduce 1) Go into advanced setup 2) Browse Computer -> Antivirus and antispyware -> Real time file system protection -> Advanced setup 3) Enable option Advanced heuristics on file execution 4) Press OK Revisit the advanced setup and notice that the checkmark is now missing on Advanced heuristics on file execution. Reproducible always for me. Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 |

Heuristics: detection directly in memory not added yet in RC
Frequent memory monitoring could help the startup scanner when catching active infiltrations.

I have tested this and found it to be the same on my system. perhaps it's just a ui bug? If not, then the protection is weakened somewhat...

It may well be, but when switched on I would expect it to remain switched on.

Exactly. This is why this forum is here, to report on issues that are discovered during on the Beta/RC process so ESET can make a better product. We, as users, have to be aware that this is an extremely limited supported item and there are known issues which they have documented. Unknown issues should be raised so that they can be filed in their bug tracking system.
