Default True Image 11 Sometimes Slow To Scan Partitions

Sometimes when preparing for a backup using TI 11, it is incredibly slow to scan my (many) partitions. It will sit there for several minutes scanning. If I restart the machine and then try again, the scan of partitions runs in about 5 seconds. Has anyone else experienced this? What could be the cause?

If a reboot clears it, then some other software on your machine is pribably interfering. YOu can try misconfig and use trial and error to pin down suspects.

Kaspersky AV was implicated as a cause by some of the forum posters a few weeks ago.

This is easy enough to test, jsut right click the Kas icon and pause protection and then try ATI.

If Kas is the problem, then you should be able to avoid the issue by going into settings, system seurity and adding the acronis exe files to the Trusted zone. The exe files appear in \program files\acronis and\program files\common files\acronis.

If Kas is the problem and the trusted zone doesn't help, then post onthe Kas forum on the KAs website

http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showforum=4

and you should be able to get some help there -- very knowledgable and helpful folks there that understand Kas inside and out.

I should have put a link to the recent article in my last post. Look at post #28 in this recent thread.

Hello all,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

The issue with slow analyze is too complex to get an exact answer about cause. However, we may simply exclude Windows environment and all Windows-compatible software trying Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. To create it please follow: Tools -> Create bootable rescue media. Then boot your machine from it and you will be able to use Acronis True Image Home without booting any OS.
Acronis Bootable Rescue Media is a standalone version of Acronis True Image Home, burned onto a CD and based on a Linux operating system.

If the issue still persists from this CD, most probably slow analyze caused by hardware problems or non supported drive type. This can be checked simply as well from Acronis Report, please check Acronis Help Post. Please refer this article for more information.

Thank you.
