ATI Home 10
Dear friends I have a backup task, where I want to backup all files in directory "Database". When I create the task, all files in the directory are marked for backup. If it happens, that I deleted a file from the directory, next time the task starts to backup the directory, I get a failure message, that "failed to backup file or folder XYZ" and I have to decide "RETRY" "IGNORE "CANCEL". How do I have to program the task, to avoid these messages, and to be sure, that EVERY file in a directory is backed up! Thanks in advance, maybe I am stupid, but I can handle it.... HeLy |

Hello HeLy,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Backup software. Acronis True Image is designed in such a way that it will check if there are all the files in the backup folder which had been there when the task was created. So error message you get is a quite normal one. Acronis True Image 11 Home has so called "silent mode" feature (it is designed for unattended backups when you cannot control the backup process; in this mode no notifications will be displayed to you if errors occur during backup). So you can upgarde to Acronis True Image 11 Home and schedule task with the feature activated. Please note also that in spite of no error messages are displayed during the backup, you can see them in the backup log. Thank you -- Nikita Sakharov
