for some reason i can not get active@ or ifw to workproperly on win 8 all they do when i try to run them even under windows 7 mode is lock everything up and make everything freeze for a minute before i can use it again. im looking more into why but its driving me nuts, tried active @ on 2 different system with the same results

zfactor,

That would be infuriating. I have IFW on two computers running Win8. No problems here.

Is Active@ running inside Win8 or offline?

seeing as IFW works on win8 for Brian and Active@ works fine on win8 on my virtual machine.

maybe a SFC is in order?

edit- i suppose it could be a bug with win8 and VSS? not used IFW so my terminology might be incorrect but does it lock up when using phylock?

as far as active @ disk image if you look here under requirements http://www.disk-image.net/req.htm it does not show windows 8. i have tried multiple times with a fresh install and it is not working under win 8 it just causing everything to freeze up and i have to either shut it down or just let it sit and wait till it finally responds. it will eventually open the program but then if you try to do anything it will freeze again and you can sit and wait again but if you try to start a image or browse for one it just causes everything to lock up so bad you basically have to just shut it down.
