Hi Folks,
As I understand that two firewalls are not better than one I have disabled my Windows firewall and set my ESET firewall to Automatic. Now Every time I boot Windows Security Alert warns me that both Windows and ESET report their Firewalls are disabled! Yet when I look at ESET it shows all green and Advanced Settings I shows my Firewall is still set to Automatic. Is this just Windows being silly or a more serious issue I need to rectify. I'm Using Vista Home Premium 64 bit, with Service Pack 2 and ESET Smart Security 5.0.95.0 Many thanks Johnandpearl |

Update to the latest Eset version as it might fix the issue (the fact that install is refreshed)

Thanks Patch,
That does look hopeful, I'll give it a try later, got things to do right now so can't mess around with all the rebooting but I'll do it tonight. Also thanks Cudni, I have ESET set to update automatically and it is reporting that I have the most up to date files available, so not sure what I should update but hopefully the suggestion made by Patch will sort this out for me Thanks both |

That is all good and as it should be, however, Eset does not as a matter of course install the latest software version. See for the latest http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=324179
