Default Is upgrade needed?

I am using TI 9.0.[last build 3.854
I have windows XP sp2.
I have absolutly no intentions of moving in to Vista..
[too many guards, security stops, DRM, restrictions and whatever]..
from my cold, dead hands I swear I will buy a Mac if
XP becomes no longer supported..
Ok. nuff anti-Vista..
Am sure it works good for some..

Anyway,
does any one feel I should at least move on to 11.0
[10.0 not available anymore at Acronis site for d/l]
or is it bloatware like Nero 8 has become?

Default Re: Is upgrade needed?

I don't think 10 has as much "bloatware" as 11.

My opinion would be that if you think you'll use version 10, you might as well get it while you still can. After a while, it may not be available for purchase.

However, if you're not going to use it now and get a new computer later, you may need 11 (or a later version) to get support for the hardware (assuming you don't create a BartPE or VistaPE CD).

If you're going to move to a Mac and not get a new PC (because it will come with Vista), then there is no point in upgrading if version 9 still does everything you need it to.
