Default Flash 11.3.x. beta available

Flash 11.3.300.214 is available, http://www.filehippo.com/

It includes Protected Mode for Firefox:

"Protected Mode for Firefox — Flash Player Protected Mode is a new security enhancement designed to limit the impact of attacks launched from malicious SWF files against Adobe Flash Player when running in Firefox 4.0+ on Windows Vista and higher. This feature is comparable to the Flash Player Protected Mode in Google Chrome browser, Protected Mode in Adobe Reader, and Office 2010 Protected View", http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/f...ashplayer11-3/

Protected mode for Firefox is certainly a good feature. Can anyone comment yet on the stability of the beta?

Very buggy, indeed!

Tested on Firefox 11.0 and, some web-sites with embedded videos [similar to youTube] wouldn't play at all. Reverted back to Flash 11.2 and the videos loaded and played flawlessly.

I have found no problems at all, using 11.3 with Firefox Beta and IE 9. YouTube and TED work well.

YouTube videos play well without any problems. It's other web-sites with videos that won't play at all.
I don't recall all the sites from the top of my head but I think dailymotion would be one of those sites.

Thanks.

I personally would not run anything Adobe beta other than in virtual machine nor do I condone threads advising users that this may be a feasable operation

It is clearly stated to be BETA software, and users should realise and accept implications therein...
Download page clearly states:

Not necessarily a recommendation...more a notification.

No problem with Dailymotion in my case.

I have had occasional crashes of the 11.3 beta plugin in FF (12 beta). They are "solved" when the affected pages are reloaded. So far this crashes are tolerable for me, I have had similar experiences with other Flash betas.

Adobe last week released a new beta of Flash Player that includes silent updates for Macs.

Adobe first included silent updates for OS X in the Flash Player beta a month ago; the version shipped Friday was tagged as "Beta 3."
