Default NOD32 RC and Vista RC2 and RTM - DEP Exception in MSFeedsync

I have noticed a reproducable bug in NOD 32 RC1 (and Beta version) on both Windows Vista RC2 and now in the RTM version as well. Both in clean install and upgrades. Uninstall NOD32 and the error stops.

It causes an Data Execution Prevention (DEP) Exception with the Microsoft RSS Feeds syncronization process.

To reproduce:
1) Install Vista RTM
2) Install NOD32
3) Subscribe to a number of RSS feeds
4) Set the Feeds Settings (Content tab) update option to automatically check feeds every 30 minutes.
5) Wait - at some point, the DEP exception will occur.

Eventviewer text attached below.

Hi dvtonder,

Where did you get the Vista RTM? As far as I know, Microsoft MSDN Subscriber Download is the only source at the moment where you can get the official Vista RTM. But MSDN Subscriber Download has been down for the last two days for maintenance and Vista RTM is not yet available from MSDN. So I guess there should be no official Vista RTM yet.

I guess that Vista RTM may be available in the "dark side"

Vista RTM is available on the 'Dark side', yes. You can install it without a key which allows for 30 days before activation. By Friday I will have my MSDN key (I am a subscriber) and I will be able to activate - well before the 30 day expiration date.

I couldn't wait any longer, I just HAD to have it

Off Topic, but just to let you know that the MSDN key would probably not be able to fit in the dark side RTM version. The MSDN key can only be used with the MSDN version of Vista only, AFAIK. OEM, Volume License, MSDN and the retail version each have a different algorithm and formula for their key. Similarly, a retail key cannot be installed in an OEM version.

OK, that sound like it's from the install. I meant the files on the actual DVD, which should be some time in Nov, not Feb, I believe.
