Really. I think it's a bad movement. But who can say "I'll never drink such water...".

Seems free to me, but just added to a PC two days ago so can't say for sure until another 28 days go by. But why would AVG be the only member of AAA (Avast/Avira/AVG) to remove free?
From my AVG 'about/license agreement':

Are you sure? I heard that the latest version of AVG works like Ad-Aware: You will only get a 30days trial for the pro version! Who can try and confirm it? Thank you!

Last time I checked, it gives you the option to trial their paid product during the install process and some users accidentally installed it (as mentioned in previous posts).

Or they are unprofessional speed clickers.

Anyone can find out for themselves by simply installing the free version and waiting 30 (or 31) days. But from what I read in these forums, they'll be trying something else long before a month is up. Not saying I'm so innocent....

No, this is just the new policy. Download the free version and you get the full version for 30 days. After 30 days, it reverts to the free version.

I guess AVG are trying to show you the full feature set, which may encourage people to upgrade when they notice a more limited feature-set with the free version, after the initial 30 days.
