Any other VPN's out there that offer this feature.....

I've been using SecurityKiss for a while now and like their service however looking for a different VPN that might be a little faster and also offer 256bit encryption. SecurityKiss has a feature called exclusive tunneling that I really like, if the VPN drops connection for any reason all regular traffic will be blocked. Does anyone know of any other VPN that offers this kind of feature?

You can achieve the same thing with all the other vpns by using OpenVPN client and having some scripts running in the same folder. This would prevent also the DNS leak (which is present in airvpn).
Best method I found so far (https://forum.perfect-privacy.com/showpost.php?p=2729) and I tested them all. Works with xp and win7/vista

Mullvad does, or at least did in their GUI. But I personally use my outbound FW to accomplish this task. Someone named CasperFace, or something like that showed me how to long ago. I know I can trust my rules to fire. Every other method I tried, including the one you mention, proved less than reliable.

Will have to PM CasperFace about the firewall rules you mentioned. Just curious, you tried SecurityKiss and found that it didn't work as advertised? The very few times I have lost connection and of all the times I have disconnected on purpose while in exclusive tunnel mode all connections stopped immediately and no pages would load until I reconnected to a working server or re-enabled the disconnected server. Have also tested the exclusive tunnel mode with wireshark and all packets of info stop as soon as I disconnect from the vpn server (and try to visit websites). As soon as I disable the exclusive tunnel mode I can see regular traffic via wireshark.

Those technical instructions provided by SecurityKiss should work with any VPN.

However, if you find that method of modifying the routing table via command line to be too technical/cumbersome, then you can use a firewall program to accomplish what you want instead. Comodo works well for this.

Please see this thread: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=309955 - there you will find some example rules for Comodo that you can use to lock down specific applications to your VPN network zone. Alternatively, you could create a set of global rules that would apply to all applications, rather than creating individual rule sets for each.

I know from first-hand experience that CyberGhost VPN offers this feature.

Is it significantly 'safer' to enable this feature? I viewed it as an inconvenience...

Many of us use this or a similar procedure all the time. If you are logged onto a forum as "mr. user" and the vpn connection drops your IP will NOT be handed over to the site via the default route out of your machine. In a split second your laptop will connect using the default path out if the connection to a VPN drops BUT the connection to your ISP is still solid. Again, it only takes a second to betray your identity. In addition to the forum now having an actual IP, your ISP sees (and could record) WHERE you are connected.

Even worse sometimes you could go on for many minutes using a straight connection and not even be aware. Using a VPN and not securing it against a dropped connection would be crazy from my viewpoint.
