Well great stuff I won a personal license from this board, really great stuff but now I have a question.
I now use Norton Anti-Virus 2003 Pro with my Outlook Express on a Win XP machine. Now can somebody tell me whats the difference between NOD and NAV, and convince me on wich one to use? |

Hi Caspar107,
Install NOD 32, choose expert install and don't install Amon. That way you should be able to run them alongside. Disable NAV Autoprotect before firing up Amon. This way you can compare anything, except for how many resources they use when they are running alone. I don't think there is a best, other then what you and your machine like. Others will jump in without a doubt. ![]() Regards, Pieter

Either one is capable of protecting your system. As disagreeable as it may to those expounding a particular brand, there is no such thing as the "best antiviurs." True, there are degrees of differences from tests in terms of detection capability, but most avs out there that are certified by well known test labs are capable of handling the majority of well known virii and trojans. Choosing a solution depends on your system and what qualities in an antivirus you are looking for. |

True, what qualities I'm looking for? Kill any virus that's in my email etc etc. ![]() |

Both NOD and NAV will take care of email. No antivirus software will kill 100% of the viruses 100% of the time. That product has never been invented and probably never will be. Take care. Acadia
