No I don't think it's worth it, there are better solutions for Home users available.

Yeah, I guess so. I wouldn't know as I never intend to infect any computer I own with a Symantec product again, ever.

I agree with you. When I bought my Dell notebook, it came with McAfee. As I had still 1/2 year HMP license, I decided to give it a try. It twice as heavy as Kaspersky or any other AV.

I know a chap who says it's lighter than Kaspersky and Norton too.

I think that the more recent versions of McAfee are lighter than they were, especially those with the new UI. I don't know how they compare with others though.

My answer in no. I have currently installed McAfee Enterprise, as for my company's policy.
With W7 works quite ok (even if I cannot start Opera if I do not turn off on-access scan) with with XP was a disaster, very often overloading CPU.
