Hello Howard,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Home and Home Office products

The issue with download managers and accelerators exists because they don't send REFERER html header during their request to our server. Some of them support such feature and successfully work with our download system. Others - don't.

Please note, that we do not advice you to use any download managers or\accelerators when you are going to download update for Acronis products.

Thank you.

Hi!

I am using "Internet Download Accelerator" 5.05 (www.westbyte.com/ida) together with Firefox 1.5.0.4 without problems.

I've been using FlashGet(http://www.amazesoft.com/), along with the FlashGot (http://www.flashgot.net/whats) Firefox extension, but have not yet tried with the TI updates.

Used FlashGet, with FlashGot, in Firefox earlier today.

I interupted the download a few times, then went to do errands.

Job completed with no apparent errors.

Did not compare thge download time, as I was fooling around with it, and thge time of day needs to be conststent to compare.

FlashGet broke the file into 5 streams and merrily proceeded.

Things really slowed down when I added a 2nd download from another site, and things picked up again when I killed the 2nd download.

The big test is to see what happens when resuming after a lost internet connection.

I have successfully downloaded updates using FlashGet and Firefox (1.5.0.4)
I use the Firefox extension "DownloadWith 0.0.7+.

Since I am on 56K dialup, the connection was broken a couple times and download continued the next night. All my big downloads are while I sleep. I like the fact that Flashget will hangup the phone (when done) and has an option to initiate a antivirus scan after download is finished.

Flashget works equally well with IE6.

I disabled the virus scan in FlashGet, instead the normal NAV AutoProtect scans.
That's less efficient than doing a single scan at th end of the download, but I'm sure not gonna disable NAV's AutoProtect whilst connected to the outside world.
