On topic - my friend, you could have saved yourself hours of work by installing the Tumbleweed and Packman Tumbleweed repositories. They turn OpenSUSE into a rolling distro - with regular updates for all stable applications. And then there are community repositories to install if you want more goodies on your OpenSUSE system. They make life a lot easier!
