This forum is great. I've learned so much about FDISR just reading the posts. But another thing puzzles me.
Archives use NTFS compression. I did a test of starting a restoration process and stopping it half way through. The drive space used to decompress the archive wasn't released until I rebooted the PC. So I was wondering if this was normal for XP, the NTFS filesystem, or FDISR is somehow keeping file handles open accidentally. |

I've searched the net without any help on this. But I'm pretty sure this has happened with other software when a compressed file copy operation fails. The space isn't recovered until after a reboot.
Can anyone recommend a forum where I can ask this question, as I don't think it's a fault of FDISR. |
