I have downloaded SB 3.5.1.
I've enabled all of the protection, including the protection to Prevent ad/tracking cookies in Firefox. I have also configured the cookie settings in Firefox V2 to not allow third party cookies. But I'm still getting 3rd party cookies in Firefox. Is there something else I need to do in either SB or Firefox to completely block these 3rd party cookies? Thanks for any help! |

Where\what setting did you use to block 3rd party cookies? |

In Firefox V2 I went to the address bar and entered 'about:config'.
Then in the Filter I entered network.cookie.cookiebehavior. I set the value for that item to '1'. In SB 3.5.1 I first downloaded the latest updates. Then I just clicked on the 'Enable All Protection' link from the main window. I also went to the Mozilla/Firefox tab and made sure that there was a check in the box for Prevent ad/tracking cookies. Do I need to to change some other settings? Thanks. |

That is all I know of. Do you have cookies set to be deleted until closed? Never really worry to much about them anymore. I do know there are several good cookie handling extensions. Perhaps someone will drop in with some other suggestions. Out of curiosity, what sites are they from?

No, I have the cookies set to Keep Until they Expire.
Do you think I should change that? I really do want to keep cookies from 'good' sites. I've had Avenue A come back a number of times. Today I had cookies from Zedo. I'd be happy to put on an extension. If that would stop these things. When I started using Firefox quite some time ago I thought I was immune to these things. I never got any adware on the system. |

I have mine set to be kept until I close Firefox. If there are certain cookies you want kept or not they can be added to the exceptions list as blocked or allowed. Try adding those 2 in question to the exceptions list and set them to block. I do not use a cookie handler extension but many are mentioned on this site. Do a search and you will come up with some good suggestions.

heres what i do:
I uncheck "Allow cookies from sites" and then I whitelist the sites that I need cookies for (like email and forums). Also I use Cookie Button (in the statusbar) extension.
