Can you get a double scanning issue on servers?

With AMON enabled, with all features, will you get a double scanning effect on a server?

Ie: Workstation reads a file off the server, and scans it, then server detects the read and scans the file too. I know I had this issue with Sophos and it caused slowdowns.

Would turning off "network" in AMON on the server help in this respect?
