Default Drives not recognized

Using True Image Home v.9 build 3677.

When booting from rescue CD into full version, 2 drives are not found. Computer had two SATA controllers, one VIA, one Promise, both on motherboard (not PCI cards).

True Image FULL fails to detect the two SATA drives on the VIA chip--the one SATA on the Promise chip is OK. When I use the boot CD in SAFE mode, everything works just fine, all drives are there.

Any suggestions?

Default Re: Drives not recognized

Hello Robint34,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Please do the following to resolve the problem:
Please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the selection screen advising you to select either "Full", "Safe" or "Boot into Windows" option appears. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:

quiet acpi=off noapic

click on the OK button then and choose "Full Version". That should allow you to use Acronis True Image in some special cases.

If the problem persists, please create Windows System Information and Linux System Information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please submit a request for technical support. Provide the files and information collected in your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

Thank you.
