Alright now...I'm Not going to quote everything or anybody - I'm just too lazy for that.

But I have to say that I feel, that I'm being one of the "accused"
of having been over-the-top, or whatever you want to call it.
The reason why is for the last few months I was ALMOST the only
female in 10F being my strange self. Goofy and yup, prolly a bit flirtatious. Especially with that one other funny dude, we all know.

But, and I've said it before, if this has looked like "over-the-top" to you....it did not to me.
Maybe I have poor judgement.
Then again, NOT....I was only having fun, and nothing else.
EVERYTHING that didn't include my Animal-care thread, was pure Jokes and Play.
IF and When I knew it was time for a PM, I would send a PM. Easy.

Also: The remarks about ppl being in this chatting back and forth...
Well...if nobody joins in....WHO's fault is THAT ??

Nowhere did it say, that "my" conversation was ONLY between this or that person Alone ! Like I said. I use PM for things that are private.

It all boils down to some people being being stuck up......thinking,

IMO. Another reason they keep the Forum free. The Members have little or no say in the matter of what is kept or censored. Most Forums I belong to, paid or free, follow the rule. If you do not care for a certian person or post, DO NOT READ IT. TZ heading back into the shadows.

10 F, It is a abbreviation of Deck 10 forward. It comes from the world of Star Trek TNG. It is a lounge with a bar used to relax after a hard day at work. I don't think 10 foward aught to be held to the same standard of moderation, just be civil. No outright flaming.

In my short time here I saw far less, if any flaming in 10F campared to the "Tech" related forums where many times egos came into play.

As a few had mentioned above, we weren't asking for a huge change here, simply for a level of moderation in what was being posted by some people. And you know what, the two guys above that commented about the constant number of threads being taken off-topic in ten-forward by a few offenders, were absolutely right!

If putting an end to the overly silly banter, one-upmanship posts, and the hijacking of other members threads with flirting and fart jokes bothers you so much that Wilders is no longer fun for you, then you aren't the kind of member that we want here anyway. I'm sure there are plenty of playful forums and chat sites on the web where you'd be much happier.

Premise: If you never find yourself reading and/or posting in the other sections here at Wilders, then you are definitely in the wrong place.

Wilders Security is first and foremost a PC security, computing and technical support forum. ten-forward was simply meant to be a place where the regular participating members, (i.e. those interested in the forum's main purpose - security, privacy, computing...), could take a break and discuss things that were off-topic to its main focus. Yes, it was meant to allow for fun, but as usually happens when people are having fun, some few begin to take it too far, and even after repeated warnings, continue to take it too far and wreck it for everyone else.

ten-forward is now closed, and it won't be coming back in the form it was. If you "don't get it" then I'm sorry, but you were probably part of the problem.
