Hi Paul, can you clarify for me please? You said firewall addon. Does this mean it will work with my present firewall (zone alarm, free version 2.6.362) or am I WAY OFF BASE here? TIA

As Time Out stated: it will.

Actually, it's kind of a sandbox idea; works independent from especially firewalls, and can be used as a stand alone app as well, regardless if a firewall has in installed or not.

Since it takes care of TooLeaky etc. I considered it a nice firewall addon in the first place; that's why it has been posted on this particular forum.

(btw: the version number is actually v1.8.4).

    regards.

late last night I was reviewing SSM over at <webattack>....looked at the screen shots.....but didn't dl..........anyways.....the last url I sent you was the dl site for this program....I've no idea as to why it my firewall would be alerted by it several hours later.....but its of no big deal I would think.........an just want to advise you to ignor that last contact from me..

about SSM.....I just dl'ed it....haven't installed it as yet.....but would like to respectfully suggest to anyone that has never used any kind of system monitoring tool to be carefull not to blacklist Kernel32.dll.

                            regards

                             snowman

    snowman,

your latest emails have been received; thanks for this post.

Sound advice. Blacklisting should only be done after examination; otherwise a system can be turned into a real havoc.

    regards.
