When i boot to the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager during my computers boot up, it won't recognize my mouse. I can't use my mouse, but my keyboard works fine. Because of this, I am unable to do any recovery while in this mode.

Please help. Anything is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello abcguy,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please use the instructions provided in this post to add "usbmouse=off" parameters that may help to solve this issue.

    Thank you.

When using Acronis T'Image 9 home version, on a Win XP Pro Dell desktop, I found it would NOT work with a wireless mouse/keyboard combo. Mouse NG, keyboard worked. Switched to hardwired USB mouse AND keyboard & all was OK.

    Hello abcguy,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please make sure that you use the latest build of the respective version of Acronis True Image which is available at: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/

To get access to updates you should create an account at:
    http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/
then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

If the problem persists with the latest build, please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the selection screen appears. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:

quiet usbmouse=off, click on the OK button and choose "Full Version".

If that does not help, please create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please provide us with the exact model and vendor of your mouse.

Please create an account, then log in and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
