I would rate Trojan Hunter second. And yes you are right there is not really anything left that is worse to put on that list except you are counting AV programs with strong trojan detection capabilities like KAV.

Yes but do you really think one of them is really recommandable any more?

At least for the The Cleaner and Tauscan I have the fealing that both gave up the development (execpt of signature updates) a long time ago...

$20 US for KAV 4.5 lite. Trojan killer par excellance.
It'll also take care of your viruses at no additional charge.

Ok let's put this on the Table I don't consider KAV to be very reliable....

Thus far I'll go along with TDS-3 when I have the money

And what would you find unreliable about KAV?

Funny you should say that. I trialed it for a week and found it EXTREMELY reliable... Even as a trial.. Granted, you have to roll up your sleeves and figure it out, but version 5 will be easier to operate, from what I've seen.. It may be my next AV...

A couple of observations about TrojanShield--based on my experience with it:

*Lots of features included--some of questionable value
*Cheap
*Terrible support
*Could not get the program to update def files at all (and at last check of website, not sure *if* there is such a thing)

Beware.

Hey flux, if you only want one programme them you cant beat Kav for that . Its excellent . If you can afford a separate anti trojan and anti virus then thats even better .
But as root suggested even the humble Kav Lite will provide you with pretty much all you need on a shoestring.
And provide excellent virus / trojon / malware protection.

I have a question for Phil. I also have NOD32 Ver2 and want to have KAV Lite as a backup scanner. How do I go about setting up KAV Lite so it won't conflict with NOD?

Don't forget Anti-Trojan 5.5.

AT5.5 is not really worth to mention. See also my explainations in this threat: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=8965
