Default Aside from Defragmenter, do we still need some other softwares to compress the drives

I am just curious.

I am using PowerDefragmenter GUI( contig.exe) to defragment my drives and also PageDefrag to defrag the paging file, and NTREGOPT to defrags the registry.

Do you think we still needs some other software programs to compress more... the files in our Hard Drives? to further make our system more responsive and also frees up some space on it?

No, there's only so much compressing you can do. Better still would be to regularly clean out the crap with a good cleaner such as Crap Cleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/
