Skype prohibited access
I've sent the question to Skype. Just wondered if any of you guys are seeing this in your log.
Why is my Skype attempting to access port 143 of 137.193.213.29? wb7-129.STUDFB.UniBw-Muenchen.d=137.193.213.29 inetnum: 137.193.0.0 - 137.193.255.255 netname: UNIBWMNET descr: Universitaet der Bundeswehr Muenchen; Rechenzentrum descr: Werner-Heisenberg-Weg 39, D-85579 Neubiberg Thanks Ian |

Hmm, interesting! Port 143 is usually used to receive E-Mail via IMAP protocol. Are you using IMAP ?

No not using IMAP.
The destination address would seem to be the German equivalent of Sandhurst or Westpoint. Heard nothing back from Skype. Hope they do get back as I am intrigued. Ian |
