Default IMON High Efficiency issue

Hi

i have mozilla firefox set to higher efficency and have just downloaded ewido. as is the norm, nod32 downloads the file first then firefox saves it when nod32 has finished with it. the set upfile downloaded is not complete though, its a sort of standard windows icon, rather than the setup icon, and when you double click it a dos window flashes open and then closes and nothing else happens.

IF i change mozilla firefox to higher compatibility then the file downloads fine.

anyone else tried and found this?

lee

Try to set Higher Efficiency and download file again, and let us know if the problem persists.

Some websites do not work well in higher efficiency mode. You can override your browsers setting for a specific website by adding it to the server compatibility list. Each website you add here will run in higher compatibility mode no matter what you have your browser set to.

Exclamation Re: IMON High Efficiency issue

IMON is not corrupting some files because of the larger files settings. It
switches automatically to compatible mode if a file is larger than 2mb or
the download takes more time than 55sec.

I never had a problem with Imon, even using Ewido.

indeed it does. if i set the file size setting to 1mb then it switches automatically to compantibility mode and downloads fine. it's only a probllem when it is set to Higher Efficiency

yeah, no problems for me either in the running of ewido (though i only use it as an on-demand scanner at the moment) or their website, the only problem is the downloading of the actual setup file. This may also be a problem with other downloads too, but this is the only one i have come across so far

We haven't observed the issue with other than this particular file. The developer responsible for IMON will look into it as soon as he gets back from the USA.
