I get Bdf via GDATA AVK and they haven't updated the sigs for Bdf since the 26th. You can check for yourself here - look for BD entries http://www.antiviruslab.com/newentries.php?lang=gb

Hmm....try tomorrow. You might get an update or two, the European companies often like to slip in for two-day holidays

Sinse the 26th bit has updated with the same frequency.

I try every hour (that seems a reasonable schedule for the KAV updates with GDATA; checks Bdf at same time, of course)This isn't a problem for me as it is quite clear KAV is in there before Bdf. Indeed, I am not sure I experience any benefits at all having two engines; it sounds good, i.e., better than one, but in practice? Perhaps if I was a higher risk and had Trojans banging at the door continuously I would see more benefit, but I very rarely encounter any of this nasty stuff - and that isn't a problem for me either ![]()

Yes, this wasn't intended as a negative commment by me on Bdf; GDATA AVK has these silent moments - nothing is perfect ![]()

Only GDATA AVK is having update problems - not BitDefender itself

Sorry for any confusion, none intended. FWIW, Bdf with GDATA AVK has updated once since April 26th, at 29/04/2005 21:11 (I check hourly, so precise update time will vary). I don't think Bdf with GDATA AVK ever updated regularly over a weekend, so I expect it will be a while before it does so again.

Was just looking at GData's page for today and WOW
http://www.antiviruslab.com/newentries.php?lang=gb My question is did regular Bit Defender users get this same massive update or is it some backlogging on GData's part? 6600+ new sigs for BD is pretty massive. |

A bit back BD was adding definitions like crazy...it now stands at 174901
GData may just be catching up. |

Another big update for AVK today. I guess BD is doing some spring cleaning on their signature base...it's currently down to 167203.
