Default how to pass paramets at boottime hde=noprobe

Hello I'm testing TI8 and want to pass parameters to the linux boot system created on the cd, anyways it sees my my Highpoint 404 raid card and hangs up with lost irq.

the way to normally tell the linux kernel NOT to fool with this card is to pass paramaters at boot time

hde=noprobe hdf=noprobe hdg=noprobe (with 3 raid drives attached).

I searched this forum and came across pressing F11 at boot, but this does not bring up any way fro me to enter this string?

question #2. I want to buy TI8 to use with one drive that has 3 NTFS partitions, in my experience with Linux based distros, writing NTFS seems to be a real problem, HAS Acronis found a solution for this?
