Hi,
I have some problems when I do a Disk Clone with True Image 8. When the computer roboot to do the job, I get an error message "Disk not found". The source drive is part of my computer (80 Go), but the destination drive is an external HDD 60 Go Iomega on a Firewire port. I already used the same configuration (exept than both HD were same size) to another computer and it works fine. Do you think that the size of the HD source is the problem (source bigger than the destination) ? Thanks, Pass |

do you do a 'restart' or a shutdown.
I read somewhere in this forum, Firewire works better if you put boot CD in drive and do a complete shutdown. Good luck.... ![]() |

Hello Passgad,
Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing...cts/trueimage/). We are really sorry for the inconveniences. First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (and Acronis Bootable CD is created with the latest build as well), which is available on our web site at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/. To get access to updates you should register your software first at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/registration/. Please disable any download managers, internet download/connection boosters, etc. before the download. Please try to boot your computer from Acronis Bootable CD and perform the cloning from there. Please note that in this case you will need to remove one of the drives from your system after the cloning is complete before you boot any of the drives. If you cannot see your destination drive please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround and if it doesn't help please create the sysinfo.txt file and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. Please see http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the details. Thank you. -- Ilya Toytman
