Default Partition Expert Change Drive letter

I need to change a drive letter in Partition Expert using the DOS version of PE . The Disk/advanced/change letter option is greyed out. Other options are active and the partition is selected.

What am I doing wrong?

I need to do this because I restored an image to a partition using an alternate hdd and OS and it changed the original Drive letter of the Active Partition from D to something else. Now when I try to boot from the restored hdd, I get a hang at the XP logo.

I've tried changing the boot.ini to partition 1 instead of 2 , but XP then tells me the HAL is missing.

Thanks

Default Re: Partition Expert Change Drive letter

Hello Bassyst99,

Thank you for using Acronis products (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/).

Could you please download Acronis Report utility available at http://www.acronis.com/files/support/AcronisReport.exe and run it, create a report and send it to support@acronis.com along with the description of the problem? This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

Thank you.
