TDS-3 Radius update for Friday 3-Dec-2004

Hi all,

I think there is a little error and confusion with respect to the Radius update for today, Friday 3-Dec-2004.

1.
Using the updater in TDS-3 and letting it connect to the DCS site, it told me there was no update.
At that moment I had:
[42763 references - 19196 primaries/11443 traces/12124 variants/other]

2.
Then I looked at Gavins posting in the Update-Alert forum-section.

Gavin tells us:

3.
Then I looked at the TDS site:
http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/
It tells at this moment:
42763 refs

4.
Then I manually downloaded the radius file from the Turvamies site:
http://radius.turvamies.com/radius.td3

5.
After having downloaded the Radius file from the Turvamies site and having started my TDS-3, I have now:
[42955 references - 19375 primaries/11454 traces/12126 variants/other]
I think that is the correct and latest one for today, Friday 3-Dec-2004.


Conclusions:
At this moment the DCS site does not have the last radius file and not the correct info.
Users, check your definitions
I think at this moment it is:
[42955 references - 19375 primaries/11454 traces/12126 variants/other]

The number of refs. othe TDS3 site appear to be wrong unfortunately so I guess this was an oversight by Gavin

Here is my update.cfg which worked fine today.

My Auto update just closed itself down when attempting to connect to Radius update. I tried 3 times, no luck. So I did a manual download, no problem.

Curious thing ... I couldn't update with TDS since the first ... I had to manually update both the 2nd & 3rd.

I had the same details as Jan for the update today.

Update for 03-12-2004: +79 references (+76 primaries)

[42955 references - 19375 primaries/11454 traces/12126 variants/other]

Then just went to check the TDS update feature ... it updated the file ... and is now showing the original details Gavin posted.

42763 references

So something is still wrong.

At the moment the definitions (Radius-file) at the TDS/DCS site is NOT the correct one.
At this moment it gives you:
[42763 references - 19196 primaries/11443 traces/12124 variants/other]
That is an old update !!!
You can check in your firewall-log at which update server your TDS-3 was getting the Radius file.
If it is: http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/radius.td3
then do NOT use that one, but get your Radius file for example from the Turvamies site.

Even if you manually downloaded the correct Radius file from Turvamies and after that are trying to get it automatically from the DCS site, you will get at this moment again the wrong one.

Your definitions should be at this moment :
[42955 references - 19375 primaries/11454 traces/12126 variants/other]

I do have the right def's, which I manually updated

But After I saw Gavins Post ... I just wanted to inform everyone that although I could now get updates thru TDS (that issue was corrected) ... it still remains the incorrect/old radius files.

Yeah, I just updated manually from the diamondcs website, and i still have the same old radius.td3 database! I'm now gonna try updating via one of their alternative mirrors.
I used the turvamies site and now my update shows: 42955 references. Correct at last.
