I have done much reading bout the Partition Expert 2003 product. I have not seen anything yet on whether or not it supports RAID1 configuration of drives. The reason I am asking is because I have a sever with two 72G SCSI drives attached to an adaptec controller card. These drives are in a RAID1 config, and I need to re-size the partitions on the mirror. Running Windows 2000 Server. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello Mark,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis products (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/).

Acronis Partition Expert 2003 is an old version of our partitioning program. Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 is the new one. It is capable of working with hard disk drives in RAID configuration (Acronis Partition Expert 2003 is also able to work with RAIDs).

We recommend you to try the trial version of Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 that is available at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/diskdirector/.

    Thank you.

Does Partition Expert 2003 also support the resizing of partitions in a RAID5 configuration? I want to move some free space from my D partition over to my C partition. Will Partition Expert 2003 do this?

    Hello cphtechie,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Director Suite (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/).

Acronis Disk Director Suite is capable of working with hard disk drives organized in RAID5 array.

Could you please let us know the full model name of your RAID controller installed on the motherboard? Please also send the request to info@acronis.com and attach Acronis report file:

Please download Acronis Report utility available at http://www.acronis.com/files/support/AcronisReport.exe and run it, create a report and send it to us. This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

    Thank you.
