I had a similar message earlier in the year after using Virtual Box to run the Win 8 beta.

I had uninstalled Virtual Box using its uninstaller but could not install OA afterwards.

I found that VB had left the following in system32

    VBoxDrv.sys
    VboxNetAdp.sys
    VBoxUSBMon.sys

I deleted those files, rebooted and ran elevated command prompt ..

    2) type sc delete VboxDrv
    3) press enter
    4) repeat this for other services as well

This worked for me, not sure if the same will apply for you. (thanks go to andrewf, the OA dev for help he gave me when I did this)
