Is there anyway to store the WRupdate.exe files in the Webroot folder. They are
going into some temp folder with all this other stuff so I can't get the WRupdate files excluded . I have the Webroot folder exluded and everything in it except those pesky WRupdate file's aren't in there. ![]() |

When the program updates it uses WRupdate and after install it deletes itself so there is no need to keep that file. TH

Thanks, I didn't know the file deletes itself. I have like six files in my temp folder with all different numbers. Will check again a and see if they are still there.

Well it does on Win 7x64 but if you are using a HIPS program or such that will stop WSA from updating in that case the file does remain there but you can delete them without issues as VoodooShield does the same for me. HTH, TH

I am using CCleaner on a regular basis, so I don't have issues with files being placed in temp folders

The update temporary location can't be changed but you could disable automatic updates and just manually download the new version to update on demand. All you have to do is double click a newer version and it will update instantly. Hope that helps ![]() |

Just curious why you use VoodooShield if you can set "Warn when new programs execute that are not trusted" in WSA's heuristics? What I have seen in Voodoo's How it Works video it is all what Voodoo does. Thanks & regards, pegas
