Which OS Edition are you using?

Re the FP we will take a look at it. In the meantime simply disable ES when running PS3 MS.

ExploitShield includes some built-in shields for certain OS components. This is one of them.

I have NOT had any more problems with tasks hanging at shutdown. If I do, I will be sure to write down which taks I have to "force closed"....

Anyone know of a way to "test" this app to see if it does what it claims to do?

Apparently, it doesn't work with Sandboxie (which I've used for years), so I'm a little reluctant to discard it (SBIE), until I know for sure:D

I'm working on setting up a metasploit environment and seeing what I can/ can't do. I'll get results to you sometime between today and Thursday.

seems to me there is similarity between this program and VoodooShield?

they both seem to block executables when given privileges by certain apps, only difference being that ZVLES relies on cloud whitelisting and VS relies on user whitelisting?

or am i way off? probably

    Yes, way off.

If I'm not mistaken VoodooShield is a whitelisting solution. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't tested it, just looked at their website.

ExploitShield does not rely on white-listing for preventing exploits. Also ExploitShield does not attempt to replace the AV but rather to complement it. If you ONLY have ExploitShield installed you can still get infected if you manually download & execute a malicious EXE, as it is outside the scope of ExploitShield to protect against those scenarios. That's the job of the AV. ExploitShield does only one thing and it does it very well, which is to prevent vulnerability exploits.

    @zerovulnlabs

I asked this earlier and someone replied, but I'd like to hear from the developer. Will ExploitShield detect and prevent MitM and MitB attacks?

This is also happening with me even after starting ExploitShield with All Programs->. Running at 832K memory which seems too low.
    Windows 7 32 Bit
    IE 9

Hey pbust, do you have an estimation on when this may become final? Not trying to pin you down on an exact date, but rather a few weeks, months or years. Also, will you post new versions here on this thread?

Thanks again for your efforts! :D

A couple to a few months is the best estimate now.

Subscribing to our RSS would be best, although I'll try to spend time here to announce new versions.

100% understood, we will try to replicate it ourselves. At least if possible PM me a list of all installed and running software and system specs.
