Default Does Webroot recommend using other security software a long side Secure Anywhere?

Does Webroot recommend using other security software a long side Secure Anywhere? And if so what security software other then their own do they recommend to use?

Or does Webroot Secure Anywhere give you enough protection against most of the common threats thats lurking on the web?

I relize the more realtime security software you have running can slow down your computer which is the last thing I ever want to do. But I also want my computer to be protected against as many threats as it possibly can.

No, you don't need to use other security software alongside WSA. One recommendation I have is to at least use a router, but that's pretty standard today with most home networks. You can use WSA with other security software if you want additional layers of protection, but the majority of our users just use WSA by itself.

When I use WSE I use it all on it's own, it feels best that way "as it was meant to be....."

I prefer a layered security approach. I use WSA with NOD 32, Online Armor, and Appguard. That's may seem like a lot, but I never have problems with that setup. You just have to set exceptions or exclusions in Appguard, and Online Armor. I have been using this setup for years now. I used Prevx with this setup before WSA came out. If I wanted to go a little lighter I could do away with Online Armor, and just use the Firewall from my UTM. I just like Online Armor so much that I can't find a non HIPS firewall that I like as much to go lighter. I don't really need the HIPS. I may try Tiny Wall in the future.

Several of us regular posters here at Wilders are running other security software in addition to WSA for more "layers" of security as well as "second opinions".

I am running WSA Essentials + MBAM Pro + PrivateFirewall on ALL five of my systems right now; I find this combo to be lean, mean, nice, and tight...

Same as last poster, except using Windows firewall. Been running this combo for over a year now and nary a problem.

Webroot SecureAnywhere is very powerful but the problem is that users or naysayers don't understand how WSA truly works and is always protecting them even offline! And that video just showed you a small part and they keep improving WSA all the time!
