Maybe this http://www.raymond.cc/blog/babylon-t...plete-removal/
or AdwCleaner :

(saw them mentioned recently in a thread at DSLR)

whoa!!!!!!!!!!

Shot my mouth off too early.

Its still there in the firefox tabs. Its not in that FF 'add-on' section. I've uninstalled it with Revo uninstaller & nuked it with JV16.

Pesky rascal's still there.

I don't know where I found this, but it was on some forum. WOT warns of a bad site, but I have not had a problem.
https://support.babylon.com/index.ph...he-web-babylon

I had the problem of installing it without noticing, but was able to get rid of it.

Regards,
Jerry

For the record, I see that two scanners at VirusTotal are giving a warning on AdwCleaner:
TrendMicro-HouseCall - TROJ_GEN.F47V0814
Jiangmin - Worm/Sohanad.aim
For now I assume that those are false positives.

EVEN i am curious about the babylon search,a friend of mine had the same problem with babylon toolbar and search and tabs in firefox, said could not remember what he installed that did it.

seems to me babylon acts like a browser hijacker though.

AFAIK many AV's do detect and block the Babylon software as PUA/PUP, if that setting is checked in the AV.

Be a good company and instead of all that complicate procedure that the average Joe don't know how to perform and will never find (most people don't even have a clue why their home page and settings got changed in the first place!) simply create a uninstaller able to remove all your CRAP!

My kids are famous installers of Babylon,Avg Search and so forth.Thank goodness for shadow Defender as it puts everything where it belongs after a reboot. The need to go over installations with a fine tooth comb to Avoid it.
