Default Put a sock in it!

This is more a curiosity than anything... But I'm wondering, is there any way to make my Thinkpad 600E stop beeping? It beeps loudly and annoyingly on boot, suspend, and resume... And there don't seem to be any BIOS options for turning the beep off.

Anything I can do about this? (Besides getting rid of the Thinkpad of course.)

Well you could always disable/remove the little speaker that creates the beep.

Have you checked in the bios settings (I can disable the beeps in BIOS for my T61)?

What is the beeps sequence? Maybe it is trying to tell you something

It is! It's telling him to get off the Computer and go do something constructive I suspect though, that it's a Memory issue, remove and re-install the RAM, and then wait to see it happens again
