It's quite impossible. Even if I would be so smart and fast and I catch the button "next" before the windows "your language will be soon...blabla"...the program will not install/run and I'm also redirected to the "translation" page.
It looks that I must type my e-mail befor I install this app and by the same way I agree to contact from their side.
They try to force my adress from me and it's unacceptable for me.

Same problem here on my wife's laptop (everything is English, except Thai as language preference). Not able to install it or even to run it. It only sends me to the "translation" page.

2 thumbs down because of this behavior.

Program was updated yesterday to v1.1.325 (July 8, 2012). Not sure if this solves the translation issues some are experiencing, although one of the changes is " Improved german translation".

Yet another update, v1.2.000, released July 11, 2012. Most notable improvement is the ability to make a truly portable version.

I think at this point PrivaZer is not reliable enough.

After cleaning using v. 1.1.326, I did a basic check of the system operation. I found that the keyboard keys that control the multimedia functions (volume, etc.) didn´t work. I tried several possible fixes but couldn´t solve the problem.

Wondering if there were other undetected problems, I decided to go back to the pre-cleaning configuration, using a backup image that I had created before I used Privazer.

Funny thing for me when i try this soft, after run the software (of course it found few thing more than the other), but now when i open my task scheduler "ABRACADABRA" all schedule task dissapear.

So for me Privazer is a "Magician" software

No more using it.

Well, it is, after all, a system/file/registry cleaning tool. As is the case with many other such tools, users need to pay (close) attention to precisely what it proposes to clean.

I am particularly wary of the Registry, System, and Startup options. Scanning will present no issues, but I would recommend either unchecking those boxes for a cleaning operation or **carefully** checking the entries found before allowing the software to start cleaning. Of course, it is always prudent to have a recent image to restore in the event something goes awry.

Certainly can't fault this company for not updating their software often enough.

Latest = v1.2.3 released July 13, 2012:
- Improved FileExts scan

v1.2.2 released July 13, 2012:
- Bug fixes :
. No task visible in Windows Task scheduler
. Cleanup can't start
- Improved german translation (5)

v1.2.1 released July 12, 2012:
- Improved update process
- Improved german translation (4)
- Respectful cleanup of Firefox (Firefox extensions)
- Minor bug fixes

I tried it on my test machine, and did a full scan. I let it scan the registry and it found 117 problems, and I just hit the fix everything button. After a reboot I could not get Windows Explorer to work. Nothing, nada. I was able to boot into safe mode and Windows Explorer worked, so I reimaged from safe mode. User beware of the reg "clean".

Sage advice.

FWIW, the program has been updated (again) to v1.2.4 - changes are as follows:

- Improved registry cleanup
. Removal/USB paths are now preserved
. Network paths are preserved
. Invalid fixed drive paths are cleaned up

- Improved registry scan
. Improved Installed apps scan
. Improved File extensions scan

I guess the lesson here is to be aware of any cleaners, especially if you have only recently started using it.

I had the exact same problem. I contacted the PrivaZer team and they got back to me (within a hour or so) and recommended that I run a little program called Fix My Task Scheduler. You can find it at:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...cheduler.shtml

Before trying this out, I tried -with little success- to get any information on the program and how it worked in the opinion of customers who tried it. I emailed the developer, however, no response as yet. I then did a followup email to PrivaZer and described by Task Scheduler problem in more detail and asked if they believed this "fix" would address my problem. I received an immediate reply from one of the team members who said he/she had the same problem, and it worked. So I tried it, and IT WORKED!!!

I still had one error when opening Task Scheduler and that had to do with a corrupt task under Defrag. Turns out that's because I tried a suggestion I found on the Task Scheduler that said to activate scheduled defrags. I did that, but then was not able to get back into the defrag program to change it back. However, I found that, as in so many cases, "Run as administrator" did give me access. I disabled the defrag scheduler, and the task was updated, and now NO MORE ERRORS!!

Hope this woks for you as well as it did for me. -Jack

Default anybody using PrivaZer?

Hi,
PrivaZer seems to clean up files that Ccleaner misses. However I have a problem, because every time it tries to wipe free space on my SSD. Which obviously is no good. Anybody in here knows if there is an option to turn that off?

Not 100% certain, but I believe you just need to uncheck the box next to "Traces in free space".
