Has anyone noticed any system drag after this latest update? I'm feeling a noticeable drag in opening programs and loading web pages.

I was having some issues yesterday, but wasn't sure what to attribute it to. May have been Avast, but not 100% sure.

An user-independent way of updating avast is case of installation corruption or, from avast side, a way to correct bugs and release updates.

Maybe the best would be go to avast! forums and ask for help, giving more details of your system etc.

Thanks,Technical. But I'm not having a problem per se, just a feeling of performance lag that you can feel when you're sort of attuned to your PC, and wondered how others who got update were making out. I temporarily went back to another AV in the meantime, and I want to go back to a HDD image and reinstall all pgms with latest versions and leave out ones I don't use much, then install latest Avast. And your advice of giving system details is right, too, as I may be under-powered compared to others. I give Avast a thumbs-up anytime.
