My problem is i keep getting my homepage constantly redirected through "allaboutsearching.com" and additional folders placed in my favorites( I use mostly IE for internet, recently starting using mozilla). i run ad aware AND spybot to clean anything malicious but neither seem to be doing the job. Hello adverse_squid,

Download CWShredder Click on update, then close all browsers, and then click on Fix, not scan.

Next, you are running hijackthis out of a temporary directory. Can you please create a folder in My Documents and call it Hijack (or something similar). Then extract hijackthis into the folder you have created and run it from there. The reason for this is that Hijackthis creates backups and we would like the backups to not be in the Temp folder.

Post a new hijackthis log here when you are done.

Hello adverse_squid,

Quote:
Download VX2Finder from this link:
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/VX2Finder.exe

Run Vx2Finder click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button. Then click *make log*.

Copy and paste the contents of the log into your next reply here.
--------------------------------

Sign off and stay off the internet until the entire procedure is complete.

Open VX2Finder and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button.

Then select the *Delete these files* button.
You will be left with notice about one to be deleted on reboot.
It will ask to reboot on deletion of the last file (Reboot)

-----------------
Once back in Windows

Open VX2Finder again and click on these buttons in the right pane:

user agent, Guardian.reg, restore policy

Exit and reboot.

Run Vx2Finder once more and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button. Then click *make log*.
Post it here with a fresh HijackThis log please.

Now, you still have HJT in a temp folder and I need you to move it. Can you please create a folder in My Documents and call it Hijack (or something similar). Then extract hijackthis into the folder you have created and run it from there.

Do a Ctrl+Alt+Del and end task all instances of these processes if running:
kQR.exe
YiyKNCiq.exe

Next:
1. Open My Computer
2. Right click on your hard drive that you wish to clean (C drive, for example)
3. In the context menu that opens, select properties
4. Under the general tab you should select Disk Cleanup
5. Windows will scan your drive which will take a few seconds/minutes
6. A box will display the various files you can remove. Here are some safe examples:

Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin
Temporary Files

7. Click OK and windows will comply.

When done moving HJT, run HJT again with all browsers closed and check these items and then on Fix:

Default Re: Help, spyware killing me

Hi adverse_squid,

Since you are usuing AdAware anyway, please read and put to use:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showp...49&postcount=6

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O3 - Toolbar: Band Class - {C5183ABC-EB6E-4E05-B8C9-500A16B6CF94} - C:\Program Files\SEP\sep.dll
O3 - Toolbar: Slow acid - {27842A56-F795-D9BD-B057-D144B8A300BC} - C:\PROGRA~1\GREYPL~1\setup pile.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Axishide] C:\PROGRA~1\DALESO~1\keepopen.exe

O16 - DPF: {288C5F13-7E52-4ADA-A32E-F5BF9D125F98} (CR64Loader Object) - http://www.miniclip.com/bestfriends/retro64_loader.dll
O16 - DPF: {77E32299-629F-43C6-AB77-6A1E6D7663F6} - http://www.nick.com/common/groove/gx/GrooveAX27.cab

O16 - DPF: {C02226EB-A5D7-4B1F-BD7E-635E46C2288D} (Toontown Installer ActiveX Control) - http://download.toontown.com/sv1.0.13.6/ttinst.cab

O16 - DPF: {DDFFA75A-E81D-4454-89FC-B9FD0631E726} - http://www.bundleware.com/activeX/DS3/DS3.cab

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
C:\Program Files\SEP <= entire folder
C:\Program Files\DALESO~1 <= entire folder that holds keepopen.exe
C:\Program Files\GREYPL~1 <= entire folder that holds setup pile.dll

Regards,

Pieter

It´s nice to be important, but it´s more important to be nice.

It's human to make mistakes. It's even more so to blame the computer for it.
